David Michael Leslie

David Michael Leslie, age 87, (1 week shy of his 88th birthday) passed away peacefully at Aurora St. Lukes in Milwaukee. David was born in Racine, WI., on October 3rd, 1937, son of the late Michael and Nellie (Nee: Johnson) Leslie.

David graduated from Washington Park High School “Class of 1957” in Racine, WI and received his accounting degree from UW-Madison “Class of 1960”. He served as a Certified Public Accountant in Racine WI, finally retiring at the age of 85. On July 8th, 1961, at Trinity Lutheran Church in OshKosh, WI, he married his college sweetheart Judy Ann Allen. They were blessed to celebrate 64 years of marriage in July and have 3 amazing sons: Scott, Stephen and Peter. While working many busy hours he found time to be an active Rotarian, holding many office positions and voted to be a Paul Harris Fellow. David also served as Board President of Lincoln Lutheran for several terms. During is “spare” time he enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He looked forward to his fishing trips with family to Alexandria, MN every year and spending time with family and friends Up North. He was a faithful supporter of his children and grandchildren’s activities. You would often find him cheering them on or yelling at the refs. He was a devoted Badger fan, driving many hours to and from Badger football and volleyball games. David and his wife enjoyed many trips, visiting many foreign countries with friends. (especially river cruises).

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Judith; children, Scott (Ellen) Leslie, Stephen and Peter (Kim) Leslie and 6 grandchildren, Michael, Tyler, Katelyn, Kaylee, Kevin, and Cheyanna, plus many nieces and nephews and his brother-in-law Thomas (Marianne) Allen and sister-in-law Joan Allen. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Robert, Charles, Howard, Patricia and Janice. His brother-in-law Peter Allen.

In honor of Dave’s loyal dedication to his Wisconsin Badgers, the family requests guests wear red and white or Badger attire to funeral.

Funeral Services celebrating David’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 2, 2025, at United Lutheran Church, 3825 Erie St., with Rev. John Bischoff officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 4:00 until 6:00 pm. and also on Thursday, October 2, at the church from 10:00 until time of service.
