Life Story / Obituary
David Michael Wyatt, born Oct. 11,1949, unexpectedly passed away on July 9, 2025. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Richard C and Emma McGough Wyatt. His family moved to Illinois when he was a freshman and he started high school at St Viator High, graduating in 1967. He immediately joined the Air Force and served in Thailand during the Vietnam War. After discharge he married the first love of his life, Colleen Lynch who gave him 3 sons, before she passed away at 40.
David met and married the second love of his life, Danette, (Danni) and created a blended family. He was a member of many civic organizations in Caledonia and Racine, his proudest one being in the Caledonia Police and Fire Commission where he served as president for many years and serving on the board of the Eagles Nest.
David was preceded in death by his late wife Colleen, his parents, his mother-in-law, Ardis Hable, his brother John and sister Debbie. brothers in law, David Brandstatt, Robert T. Rohan and Richard Hable; sister in law Gail Hable; and his beloved son, Daniel R Wyatt.
He is survived by his wife Danni, sons Benjamin (Katie) Michael, Joshua (Trisha) and daughter Jennifer (Steve) Schroeder, and a special given to him daughter, Brenda Ann Wyatt, his brother Randall (Carla) brother Jerry (Gerry) and his sister Pamela Wyatt Brandstatt! He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews.
Through tragedy and sorrow, the life he created with Danni was adventuresome and magic. The magic faded away but will never disappear.
Funeral Services celebrating David’s life will be held at 11:00 am, at the funeral home, Wednesday July 16, 2025. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Wednesday at 10:00 am until time of service. Interment will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, town of Dover.
