David R. Andersen

With his wife by his side, David R. Andersen, age 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 4, 2026 at the Zilbur Family Hospice House in Wauwatosa. David was born in Racine on December 26, 1957, son of Wayne and Jacquelyn (nee: Sommerfeld) Andersen.

On October 10, 1983 in Racine, David was united in marriage to the love of his life and soul mate, Laurel Ann Bedard. He worked in construction until he retired in 2019. He loved fishing and entered the Salmon-A-Rama contest every year often ending up on the leader board. He also enjoyed working in his garden growing fruits and vegetables. He also had the best flowers on the block. David will be best remembered as a loving husband, son and brother and beloved owner of his cats.

David will be dearly missed by his loving wife Laurel of forty-two years; mother, Jacki Andersen; sister, Donna (Gregory) Kent; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. David was preceded in death by his father, Wayne and his siblings, Mark Andersen, Karen Luxem, Kenneth Andersen and nephew Andrew Luxem.

Private family services will be held.
