Debra J. Cowan

Debra Jane Cowan, age 64, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, February 19, 2026. She was born in Racine, Wisconsin, on February 5, 1962, the third of four children of the late Walter Carl and Patricia Anne (Cinko) Cowan.

Debra had a deep love for horses and enjoyed arts and crafts. She will be fondly remembered for her time spent in the garden. Above all, she cherished moments with her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Bobby Lemmons; her daughter, Kandi Lemmons; grandchildren, Faizah (Angel) Ynocencio, Savannah (Sameer) James, Elijah Veto, and Colton Lemmons; her great-granddaughter, A’mylah James; siblings, Daniel (Rose) Cowan, Walter Cowan Jr, and Dawn Hanson; her former husband and father of her children, Ernest Lemmons; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Debra’s life on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Hickory Hall, 5844 Douglas Avenue.
