Donald Carlson

Donald R. Carlson, age 71, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, September 22, 2012 in Wisconsin Dells. Donald was born in Racine, August 15, 1941, son of the late Carl R. and Mabel (Nee: Jones) Carlson.

On September 21, 1963 he was united in marriage to Karen E. Feldshau. He was employed by Western Publishing for thirty-eight years. Donald was a member of Faith Community Church and in his earlier years was a member of the Order of DeMolay, and Ridgerunners Square Dancing Club. He enjoyed sleeping, traveling, woodworking, and especially time spent up north in Wisconsin Dells with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of forty-nine years Karen; his children, Christopher (Sarah) Carlson of Racine, Susan (Adrian) Silverstein of St. Louis, MO; his four grandchildren, Alex, Erik, Jacob, and Abigail; brother, Jerome (Ellen) Carlson of Champaign, IL; brother-in-law, Ron (Pat) Feldshau of Pahrump, NV; nieces, nephews; his beloved dog, Spider; other relatives and many dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, September 27, 2012, 6:30 P.M. at Faith Community Church, 215 S. Newman Road, with Rev. Dino Galati officiating. Private interment will be held. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the church from 4:30 P.M. until time of service. Memorials to Faith Community Church have been suggested.
