Donald G. Klopp, age 95, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie. He was born in Trempealeau County, WI, January 18, 1931, son of the late Milo and Helma (Nee: Oium) Klopp.

He proudly served his country as a Corporal in the US Marine Corp from 1952-1954 during the Korean Conflict. On April 30, 1955, Don was united in marriage to Margaret A. Forthun. Don was employed at AMC Chrysler for thirty years until his retirement in 1989. He was a founding member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. He was very proud of his Norwegian heritage, enjoyed traveling, spending time at his home in the Dells, taking great pride in his yard, and reading his Bible daily. He also was an avid Packer fan. Above all it was time spent with his family that he cherished most.

He was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by his wife, Margaret of 71 years; sons, Daniel (Pamela) Klopp and Michael Klopp; grandchildren, Justin (Crystal Perkins) Klopp, Jordanna (Peter) Spranger; great grandson, Brady Spranger and Baby Klopp due in September; in-laws, Gladys Klopp, Russel Pritchart, Jo Ann (James) Walsh, June Nienhaus, Bob Larkman; nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Marjorie (Howard) Gilbert, Dolores (Gerald) Repaal, Larry Klopp, Muriel Prichart and brother-in-law, Alan Nienhaus; and in-laws, Henry and Myrtle Forthun, brother and sister in-laws, Lorraine Hutchinson, Roger Forthun and Carol Larkman.

Funeral Services celebrating Don’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 322 Ohio St., with Rev. Ryan Gerlach officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Thursday at 10:00 am until time of service at the church. Memorials to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection or to Inland Northwest Honor Flight have been suggested by the family.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Don and Margaret’s neighbors, Sylvia and Steve Knight and Rene and Dan O’Connor for their many acts of kindness and love shown through the years, and to John and Mary Ann Mantey for their spiritual support and compassion.
