Dorothy E. Morrow passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, peacefully at her residence with family by her side.
Dorothy was born in LaVerne, Iowa, October 28, 1927, daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (nee: Wagner) Lamb. She was united in marriage to Marvin Morrow November 2, 1946 at Holy Communion Lutheran Church and they celebrated 56 years together before his death on July 22, 2002.
Dorothy enjoyed serving people and worked for O&H Bakery for 32 years, becoming a very talented cake decorator. Many people enjoyed her beautiful cakes for many years. She also worked for 32 years at Wingspread, The Johnson Foundation, where she served coffee breaks and provided many delectable desserts and pastries. She remained actively employed until she was 87 years old.
In her spare time, Dorothy loved watching the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. She enjoyed reading, crossword and word search puzzles, spending time with family, and her dog Milo.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son John, brothers Clarence, Alfred, George, Charles, Earl, Paul, Jerry, and two sisters Alma and Frances.
She is survived by daughter Becky Dunham, grandsons Mike Dunham (Holly Smith) and Mark Dunham (Michelle Kindschi), and great grandson Max Dunham, who she cherished greatly. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy will be greatly missed by all the people who crossed her path, as she was always a pleasure to be around, with a smile on her face and willingness to help everyone.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Aurora Home Hospice for the compassionate care that was given, especially Jen and Lynn, who were exceptional caregivers.
Private graveside services were held at Graceland Cemetery.
