Dorothy Hayes

Dorothy L. Hayes passed away in her sleep peacefully on July 16, 2020. She was born on July 27, 1940 in Waukegan, Ill where she was part of various social and community groups including etiquette and modeling. She was employed with Racine Unified School district for about 20 years.

She recognized her desire to connect spiritually with a higher power where she found the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses and dedicated her life as baptized Christian. Her love for Jehovah became the foundation of her life and happiness.

She was married to Charles L. Hayes with whom she raised a loving and happy family. She leaves to cherish her memory; son's Wade and Warren Holley, daughter Vania Hayes, former spouse Charles Hayes, granddaughter Stephanie Brice, grandsons Michael Ford, Bradley Johnson Hayes, Kyle Hayes, Cameron Davis and Chase Welch and lastly granddaughter Madison Hayes. She also leaves behind a host of great grandchildren, various family members and a multitude of friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Claude Harris, her Mother Agnes Harris, her father, daughter Linda Harris and her son Brad Hayes.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Isaac Keels for his support, spiritual guidance, and officiating as well as Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home and all who have extended comforting messages and expressions of kindness during this difficult time.

The funeral services will be held privately.
