Life Story / Obituary
Dr. Frederick Carmen Gentile, born January 29th, 1923 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to John and Amelia Gentile passed away peacefully in his home in Minneapolis, Minnesota on June 5th, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, many adored friends, and his beautiful bride, Joanna.
After serving in World War II, Fred studied at Saint Louis University where he met Joanna and fell in love. The two built a beautiful life and family together in Racine, Wisconsin. They shared a love for traveling the world & would host extravagant parties for all while wearing large hats, bow ties, sport coats and the fanciest of footwear, allowing them to dance together into the night. His profession in periodontia allowed him to meet and care for many. His charm and charisma allowed him to appreciate life among friends, old and new. His free time was spent racing cars, flying planes, playing golf and cribbage. His passion for life lives on through all of those he met along his path.
Our dear Fred is survived by his children; Joseph (Sharon), John (Eva) and Marianna Francesca; his 9 grandchildren; Gioia, Anthony (Christie), Christina (David), Nicole, Lauren (Ruben), Dominique, Dylan, Ryan and Shane; and 2 great grandchildren; Eleanor & Baby Boy Gentile.
Internment services to be planned for later this summer.
Riposino in pace, Dr. Gentile.
