Elizabeth Antoinette Brinza

With her family by her side, Elizabeth “Betty” Brinza, age 87, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, September 4, 1938 to Leon and Stella Champagne. On June 14, 1958, Betty was united in marriage to Joseph Brinza, spending 67 wonderful years together until his passing in 2025.

Betty was employed by Deli Food Express for fifteen years and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She loved making crafts and attending craft fairs. Betty will forever be remembered for her sunny disposition and the joy she brought to others through her baking, especially her kolaches. In her early years, she served as a Cub Scout Den Mother. It was time spent with her family that she cherished most.

She was loved dearly and is survived by her children: David (Sally) Brinza, Joseph (Kathie) Brinza, Mary (Robert) Bernal, Robert (Wendy) Brinza, Susanne (Ronald) Auer; 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; her brother Donald Champagne; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Brinza, son Michael (Diane) Brinza, parents Leon and Stella Champagne and her brother Robert (Mary) Champagne.

A Memorial Mass celebrating Betty’s life will be held at 12:30 pm, Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave., Racine, WI with Rev. Timothy Sanchez officiating. Visitation at the Church beginning at 11 am until time of the Mass. Entombment at Holy Cross Garen Mausoleum, Hwy. 32 following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to either St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Sacred Heart Catholic Church have been suggested by the family.
