Francisca Pastoressa

Francisca Pastoressa, 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, October 9, 2023. Born December 1, 1954 she remains in our hearts as pastor, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Someone only needed to meet her once to notice what a sweet and loving soul she was.

Francisca was selfless and gave her best to everyone. She was an example of living the talk and taught us many lessons with her humbleness. Francisca loved rejoicing in the Lord, her eternal love, singing to Him and serving him with all humbleness and love. She was a woman of vision, always looking further than what you could see at the horizon. She established 7 churches and helped build various more with God's direction.

Everyone that tasted her tamales, will surely miss them. Many said they were the best tamales they had ever tasted. We will miss her contagious smile, positive spirit, loving character, beautiful singing voice, the stories she shared, and everything about her. In her spare time, she loved gardening and spending time at thrift stores.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents and three sisters. She is survived by her daughter Lidia, loving son-in law, Arturo, son David, loving daughter-in-law, Michelle, and her three grandkids that brightened up her days: Arli, Belén, and Aurora. She is further survived by her various nieces and nephews including Martha (Miguel) Guizar, brother-in-law Cutberto Pastoressa, and her brothers and sisters in Mexico.

The family would like to thank everyone that prayed, supported, and showed their love in various ways towards Francisca. A Celebration of Francisca's Life will be held at La Llama Ardiente Church, 3308 Washington Avenue, on Sunday, October 15 at 7 p.m. and visitation all night long with burial on Monday, October 16 at 10 a.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Francisca Pastoressa, de 68 años, falleció en paz rodeada de su familia el lunes 9 de octubre de 2023. Nacida el primero de diciembre de 1954, la recordamos en nuestros corazones como pastor, madre, abueLITA, hermana, y amiga para muchos. Las personas solo tenían que conocerla una vez para notar lo dulce y amorosa que era ella.

Francisca se despojaba de sí misma y daba lo mejor a todos. Ella fue un ejemplo de vivir lo que predicaba y nos enseñó muchas lecciones a través de su humildad. Francisca amaba regocijarse en el Señor, su amor eterno, cantarle y servirle con toda humildad y amor. Era una mujer con visión siempre viendo más allá de lo que podía ver en el horizonte. Fundó siete iglesias y ayudó a levantar muchas más con la dirección de Dios.

Todos los que probaron sus tamales de seguro los van a extrañar. Muchos decían que eran los mejores tamales que alguna vez habían probado en su vida. Extrañaremos su sonrisa contagiosa, espíritu alegre, carácter amoroso, hermosa voz para cantar, las historias que nos compartía y todo de ella. En su tiempo libre, le gustaba cuidar de su jardín y pasar tiempo en las segundas.

La preceden en su muerte sus dos padres y tres hermanas. La sobreviven su hija Lidia, su amoroso yerno Arturo, hijo David, amorosa nuera Michelle y sus tres nietos que hacían que sus días brillaran: Arli, Belén y Aurora. También la sobreviven varios sobrinos y sobrinas incluyendo a Martha (Miguel) Guizar, cuñado Cutberto Pastoressa, y sus hermanos y hermanas en México.

La familia quiere agradecerle a todos los que oraron, apoyaron, y mostraron su amor de diferentes maneras hacia Francisca. La celebración de la vida de Francisca se llevará a cabo en la iglesia La Llama Ardiente, 3308 Washington Avenue el domingo 15 de octubre a las 7 p.m. y la velarán toda la noche. Su entierro se llevará a cabo el lunes 16 de octubre a las 10 a.m. en West Lawn Memorial Park.
