With his family by his side, Gary G. Niesen, age 82, passed away at his residence, November 19, 2024. He was born in Racine, December 4, 1941, son of the late Arthur and Grace Niesen.

Gary was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School, “Class of 1959”. He was employed by Western Publishing for 36 years and lastly with Chrysler for 10 years until his retirement. On April 1, 2012, Gary was united in marriage to Maureen Kohl. Gary will forever be remembered for his love of travel, reading, building, expert craftsmanship, gardening, art and as a wine enthusiast.

He was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by his wife Maureen; children, Gary (Cathy) Niesen, Kevin (Elisha) Niesen, Alan (Dalia) Foldy, Tamie Herman, Sheryl (Jim) Meyers; 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara (Ted) Storhein, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parent’s, he was preceded in death by his son Christopher, his second wife, Sandra Treffert, and his brother and sister-in-law, Al (Judy) Niesen.

Funeral Services celebrating Gary’s life will be held at the funeral home, 11:30 am, Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Wednesday, 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.
