Gerald E. Schulz, age 82, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Racine, November 19, 1939, son of the late John and Mildred (Nee: Krueger) Schulz.

Jerry graduated from Park High School, “Class of 57”. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps stationed in Okinawa. On November 26, 1960, at St. Patrick’s Church he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Marlene A. Marsh. Together they were blessed with four children. Jerry was employed for 34 years at InSinkErator, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the InSinkErator 10-year club and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. His passion was hunting, fishing, model trains, and cards especially cribbage and sheepshead. Above all the treasured time with his family and will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Marlene; children, Zachary (Mary Margaret) Schulz, Andrew Schulz, Ann Schmidt, Jeffrey (Sue) Schulz; 13 grandchildren; great grandchildren; brothers, Milton (Eileen) Schulz, John (Fran) Schulz; in-laws, William Marsh, Helen Jean Bensene; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Caroline Blascoe, son-in-law, Troy Schmidt, and niece, Cheryl Blascoe.

A time to gather with family will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, 1-3 pm. Private interment with full military honors will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials to Bethany House, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Habitat for Humanity have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Mullane and Dr Dajun Wong for their loving and compassionate care.
