Gilbert “Skip” W. Toslek Jr., age 74, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Racine, January 1, 1952, son of the late Gilbert and Joyce (Nee: Johnson) Toslek.

He was a graduate of Wm. Horlick High School, “Class of 1970”. On September 27, 1975, Skip was united in marriage to Barbara Burby. He had a strong work ethic and worked for many contractors but proudly worked with Best Erectors. Skip was the cornerstone for training and Director of the Iron Workers Local #8.

Skip was a longtime member of Emmaus Lutheran Church. He enjoyed working outdoors or tinkering in his garage, hunting and fishing at his cabin up north at Silver Cliff. He was an avid Raiders, Brewers and Packer fan. It was time spent with his family that he cherished most.

He was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by his wife, Barbara, of 50 years; son, Eric (Brittany) Toslek; daughters, Jamie Toslek and Kelley (Tim) Christman; grandchildren, Alexis, Patrick (Savannah), Hunter, Glenndon and Quinn Toslek; in-laws, nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral Services celebrating Skips life will be held at the funeral home,11:00 am, Wednesday, July 15, 2026, with Rev. Steve Wohlfeil officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Wednesday, at 10:00 am until time of service. Memorials to Meals on Wheels have been suggested by the family.
