Grace M. Carravetta, age 91, passed away peacefully at her residence, Sunday June 13, 2021. She was born in Watersmeet, MI. October 23, 1929, daughter of the late Vasilie and Sultana (Nee: Milarou) George.

Grace was a graduate of Wm. Horlick High School, “Class of 1947”. On July 14, 1951, she was united in marriage to Frank Carravetta Sr. who preceded her in death May 15, 2007. Grace was a longtime member of Kimissis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church. She loved Jesus, her family, old movies and snuggling with the two family cats. In her more active years, she was quite the gardener and cook. She will forever be remembered for her kind soul and had beautiful green eyes just like her mother, both of her sisters and grandson Ian. She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed.

Surviving are her children, Frank F. Carravetta Jr, Michael (Evangeline) Carravetta, and Cynthia “Tia” Carravetta; grandsons, Mark Carravetta, Ian Carravetta-Glover; honorary grandson, Jacob Canaday; sister, Mary Parsons, sisters-in-law, Betty George, and Joanne (Gerry) Nosotti; brothers-in-law, James Carravetta and Richard Carravetta, nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Myra Carravetta, brother, James George, sister Katherine (Robert) Hilker, half-brother, Steve (Marie) George; brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Joseph (Pat) Carravetta, Robert Carravetta, Alyce Carravetta and Kenneth Parsons.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2021, 12:00 PM at Kimissis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, 1335 South Green Bay Rd, Racine, with Rev. John Ketchum officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for visitation, Wednesday 11:00 AM until time of service at the church.
