Gregorio Enrique Ascencio-Lopez

Gregorio Enrique Ascencio-Lopez, age 51, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2025, at Froedtert Hospital Pleasant Prairie. He was born in Mexico City, Mexico, May 9, 1974, son of Lucas Ascensio-Alonso and Guillermina Lopez-Avilez.

Enrique has been a resident of Racine for the past 23 years. He will be remembered for his life of Cumbia Music and his Sunglasses Collection. He was loved by family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his children, Reina, Karina, Ana Raquel, and Jocelyn; grandchildren; his father, Lucas Ascencio – Alonzo; his brother, Raul (Arcelia) Asencio; his sister, Sofia Ascencio-Lopez; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Guillermina.

Visitation will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church 1100 Erie St, Friday, June 13, 2025, 4-5 pm followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 5 pm with Reverend Juan Camacho officiating.
