Henry A. Andersen, 94, of Mt. Pleasant, WI passed away at Ascension All Saints Medical Center on July 25, 2023. Henry was born in Chicago, IL on August 18, 1928, son of the late Jack Andersen and Ingeborg (M.) Andersen.

Hank graduated from Washington Park High School. During the the Korean War, Henry proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. On September 18, 1950, Henry was united in marriage to Esther Paul. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage together before Esther preceded him in death on June 21, 2018. Henry was employed as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for over 20 years before retiring. He was a member of the Racine County Conservation League and the NALC (National Association of Letter Carriers).

In their younger days, Henry and Esther enjoyed sharing their boat with friends and relatives on Lake Michigan. Their adventures took them on many trips together to Europe and throughout the U.S.A. Esther and Henry enjoyed their home and backyard, barbeques, the outdoors, and feeding the wildlife. Hank loved music and enjoyed playing the piano, guitar, harmonica, and keyboard. Hank will be remembered for his guidance, generosity, and devotion to his family.

Henry will be dearly missed by Georgiana Elias, Lance Willnitz, Hope (David) Owsichek, great nephews Garret Owsichek, Matt Cody, Andy Cody, great niece Heather Cody, and great, great niece Heather Nelson. Henry will also be dearly missed by sisters-in-law Marie Paul, and Elaine (Norman) McInnis, nieces Joanne (Lance) McGuire, Joyce Jelinek, Darcy (Keith) Matus, Renee Teddy, Donna (Jerry) Schaff, Dyan Schaff, Alicia (Kelly) Masters, Gail (Jim) Whittier, Laura (John) Knoch, Kathy (Steve) Kaplan, great nephews Eric Matus, Jeremy Matus, David Teddy,II, Leeland (Morgan) Teddy, Grant Whittier, Kolton Knoch, Seth Kaplan, Jameson Masters, and Scott Williams; great nieces Ashley Bruce, Sarah Narlow, Christina Chambliss, Jessica Williams, Joslin Williams, Sophia Masters, Corrine Lawlor, Brenna Knoch, and Taryn Kaplan. Henry will also be missed by other relatives and dear friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Esther, Henry was also preceded in death by his sister Marion Brehm, Kathryn Petersen, niece Faith Cody, brothers-in-law Andrew Paul, George Paul, Norman McInnis, sisters-in-law Rose (Alvin) Jelinek, Mary (Anthony) Macko, Annabelle Paul, and Linda Paul, nephew Gary Macko, and niece Dana Paul.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 31. 2023, 12:00 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Thursday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m.until the time of the service at 12:00 A.M. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
