J Guadalupe Cervantes Vallin

J Guadalupe Cervantes Vallin, age 42, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 20, 2022, the result of a work-related accident. He was born in Las Tinajas, Apulco, Zacatecas, Mexico, December 21, 1979, the 9th of 10 children of J Jesus Cervantes Lopez and Luciana Vallin Vallin.

Guadalupe followed his brothers to Racine and was employed as a carpenter in the construction trades. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. When not on the job Guadalupe could be found on the family farm working and riding horses. He was a beloved son, father, brother, grandfather, fiancé, uncle, cousin, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his father, J Jesus Cervantes Lopez; his children, Wendy Lizbeth (Francisco Nieto), Alexis Eduardo Cervantes, Danielle Lozano; grandchildren, Janney Madeline Nieto, Mya, Brody, and Avea Velazquez; his fiancée, Elvira Velazquez and her son Luis; siblings, Luisa (Enrique) Cervantes, Aucelio (Irene) Cervantes, Filiberto (Genoveva) Cervantes, Olegario (Nora) Cervantes, Javier (Maria) Cervantes, Raul (Ana) Cervantes, Lucila (Luis) Lopez, Lucina (Santiago) Arias, Quirino (Karina) Cervantes; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Luciana Vallin and grandson, Eden Francisco Nieto.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 30, 2022, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1100 Erie Street. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Cristo Rey Hall, Friday at 6 pm.
