Jacquelyn Anita McClelland

Jacquelyn Anita McClelland, age 87, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Saturday, January 27, 2024. She was born in Paducah, KY, February 2, 1937, daughter of the late Joe and Hilda (Nee: Benberry) Culp.

On March 7, 1954, Jacquelyn was united in marriage to James William McClelland, who preceded her in death on April 22, 2017. Jacquelyn was a longtime member of Wayman AME Church, YWCA and Business and Professional Woman’s group. She will forever be remembered for her love of cooking, hosting holiday gatherings and joy of shopping.

Jacquelyn was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by her children, Darryl (Carol) McClelland, James McClelland and Lauren McClelland; granddaughters, Tina, Kelsey and Alyssa; sister, Carmelita Culp; nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, William Culp.

Funeral Services celebrating Jacquelyn’s life will be held at the funeral home, 11:00 am, February 19, 2024, with Rev. Ernest Niá officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are welcome for Visitation, Monday, 10:00 until time of service at the funeral home.
