James Gaines Jr.

James Emmette Gaines Jr., age 65, passed away Tuesday April 23, 2013 at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. James was born in Jacksonville, FL on August 10, 1947, son of the late James and Maurice (nee: Griffin) Gaines Sr.

James proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in the Vietnam War. On December 23, 1971, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Carolyn Davis, who preceded him in death on January 30, 1998. He was employed with SPI Lighting for many years until his retirement in 2000. In his spare time, he enjoyed learning new facts on the Discovery Chanel and was big fan of NASCAR. He was a quiet, simple and unassuming man who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his children, Lisa Grayson, Jodi Robinson, Sidney (Marie) Gaines, Corey Gaines; grandchildren, Terrell Clark, Terris Rodriguez, Jasmine Wilson, Corey Gaines Jr.; great grandchildren, Trystan Clark, Taliyah Clark; brother, Donald (Kate) Gaines; brother-in-law, Gale (Patricia) Davis; sister-in-law, Diane Dunlap; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services with Full Military Honors will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring St (Hwy C), Town of Dover on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.
