James K. Moe, age 93, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Clement Zablocki VA Medical Center. He was born in Racine, April 21, 1931, son of the late Irving and Rosemary (Nee: Logic) Moe Sr.

Jim was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School, “Class of 1949”. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force, during the Korean War. He attended UW Platteville and graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. On June 27, 1953, Jim was united in marriage to Clarita “Kita” May.

With a strong work ethic, Jim was the President of Enterprise Companies, he also was employed at Montgomery Ward for 10 years, was a consultant in the construction business, and taught marketing and advertising at Gateway Technical College. He served as the Vice President of Jellystone Campgrounds for two years. He was a long-time active member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church including being a parish council president, and with his wife Kita was instrumental in starting a Catholic LGBTQ group. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree, Racine Kiwanis Club and Toast Masters. In his retirement, he was a volunteer with SCORE.

Jim was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by his wife Kita, of 71 years; children, Ree(Tim) Millard, Maggie (Tom) McGinnity, Mike (Angie) Moe, Karen (John) Moe Stephens; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marie Moe; nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Irving Jr. (Ruth) Moe, John (Margaret) Moe, Don Moe, Richard (Ellie) Moe and Carol (Moe) and John Dvorsky.

The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers and staff at Clement Manor where he resided as well as the VA Medical Center staff who were so caring and attentive at the end of his life.

A Memorial Service celebrating Jim’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Clement Manor, 3939 S. 92nd St. Milwaukee, in the chapel, with Rev. Patrick Gawrylewski officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet for Visitation on Saturday, 9:30 until time of service at Clement Manor. Private interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mineral Point at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Catherine’s High School 1200 Park Avenue Racine, WI 53403.
