James Peter Barry "JB"

It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the death of James Peter Barry, age 60, who passed away unexpectedly, at his residence on March 4, 2024. Jim, also affectionately known as “JB”, was born in Racine, June 23, 1963, son of Peter and Elaine (Nee: Oteman) Barry.

Jim was a graduate of The Prairie School, “Class of 1981”. He furthered his education and received his degree from UWM. Jim had a great work ethic and for several years, worked alongside his father, at Thiem Corporation. He was last employed by PPG. Jim was quite the tennis pro, he enjoyed golfing and was an avid Packer fan.

JB was his daughter's best friend and loved his family fiercely. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Taylor Barry (Eddie Hernandez), Peter Barry (Fiancée, Grace Angus); beloved mother, Elaine Barry; sisters, Dr. Patricia Bachhuber, Ann Barry, Sally (John) Fongaro, and Roberta (Jim) Stark; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Peter Barry.

A Memorial Service celebrating Jim’s life will be held at the funeral home, 5:00 pm, Friday, March 15, 2024. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Friday from 3:00 pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to any veteran organization in JB's memory.

He would wish for nothing more than for those who love him to smile and laugh, share and celebrate his stories which his kids maybe shouldn't know.
