Jay Patrick Toll of Racine, WI passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio to Charles and Alice “Polly” Toll on June 8, 1950.
Jay attended Saint Nicholas School and Parish, and Rosecrans High School in Zanesville until the family relocated to Racine in his late teenage years. He was a graduate of the class of 1968 from William Horlick High School. Jay was employed by Case Corporation for 30 years, until his retirement in 2010. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, and was a member of the Case Men’s Wednesday Night Golf League, as well as the Case Retiree’s Bowling League. Jay was an avid sports fan who loved watching the Packers, Brewers, Ohio State Buckeyes and Wisconsin Badgers. He also greatly enjoyed motorsports, and attended the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 annually.
Jay is survived by his daughter Jennifer Toll and grandson Dylan Jay Toll of Blue Springs, MO, and by his son Peter Toll and daughter in law Julie Martzke of Minneapolis, MN.
A memorial gathering to honor Jay’s life will be announced shortly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We are incredibly grateful for the entire team at The Alton Memory Care and Brighton Hospice for the comfort, dignity, and peace they brought to Jay and our family.
