Jean Draeger

Jean Draeger, age 91, passed away on Thursday February 19, 2026 at her daughter’s residence in Hampton, GA. Jean was born in Racine on August 11, 1934, daughter of the late Nick and Caroline (nee: Cacciotti) Longo.

Jean graduated from Wm. Horlick High School “Class of 1953”. On July 4, 1959, she was united in marriage to Richard F. Draeger. They were married for 11 years until Richard passed away on May 11, 1970. Through the years, Jean owned and operated different businesses including: Wear About Shop and AJ’s on Main. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the ABWA American Business Women Association. In her spare time, Jean enjoyed bowling with her friends in various leagues for over fifty years, playing bingo and the slot machines. She also met monthly for breakfasts with her classmates and friends.

Jean will be dearly missed by her daughter, Michelle Draeger; sisters, Carolyn (Wally) Ross and Cathy (Topper) Noonan; niece, Natalie (Glenn) Gautsch, nephews, John (Gina) Longo, Jeff (Mary) Longo, Deano Longo, Hans Longo, Ryan (Michelle) Noonan, Brandon (Angela) Ross. Other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was also preceded in death by her brothers, John (Shirley), Joseph and Nicholas Longo, Nephew Troy Longo.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday March 3, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with a Celebration of Jean’s Life service to start at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32.
