Jean Elizabeth Douglas, age 93, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026, at Pleasant Point Senior Living. She was born in Eau Claire, WI, February 1, 1933, daughter of the late James and Mildred Baker.

Jean was employed by Racine Unified School District, teaching first and second graders at Winslow School for 37 years. Jean enjoyed reading, doing daily crossword puzzles, going on picnics and watching TV. Jean loved the Racine Theater Guild.

She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by her long-time friend and lover, of 54 years, Paul Tomka; her Godson, Kurt (Chantil) Dahlby and her honorary niece, Carol (Dan) Pansch; and dear neighbors and friends.

Funeral services celebrating Jean’s life will be held at the funeral home, 4:00 pm, Saturday, April 18, 2026. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Saturday at 3:00 pm until time of service. Memorials to the Racine Theatre Guild have been suggested.

A very special thank you to the staffs at Pleasant Point Senior Living and Preceptor Home Health and Hospice, especially Kim, for their loving and compassionate care.
