Jeanette Jenkins, Age 87, Passed away peacefully Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Racine on April 1, 1938, daughter of the late Fred and Cora (Nee VanDijk) Voetberg.

Jeanette was a graduate of William Horlick High School, “Class of 1957”. Jeanette was employed by AT&T for 31 years until her retirement. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard “Buck” Jenkins on March 14, 1988. She loved bowling, golfing and was fortunate to have had a “Hole in One” in 1990, in her words, beginners luck! Jeanette also had a love of traveling the world with her husband, especially the Netherlands, her homeland.

She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by her brother-in-law, Richard Jelinek; nieces and nephews, Peg (Jeff) DeLapp, Fred (Sheryl) Voteberg, Karen (Gary) Johnson, Steven (Lori) Jelinek, Dana (Marsha) Palm, Kathy (Fred) Schleich, and Leah Lorenze; great niece and nephew Megan Jelinek and Kyle (Jeanne) Jelinek. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph (June) Voetberg, Donald (Charlotte) Voetberg; sister, Grace Jelinek and nephew, Kevin Jelinek.

Private funeral services were held with interment at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials to

American Diabetes Society, Salvation Army, Rawhide Youth Services, or to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association have been suggested by the family.
