Jens Albert Andersen Jr., age 91, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, at The Woods of Caledonia with his family by his side. He was born in Racine, May 30, 1932, son of the late Jens and Poula (Nee: Jensen) Andersen.

Jens graduated from Wm Horlick High School, “Class of 1951”. Following high school he proudly served in the U.S. Army stationed in Korea. It was at high school that he met Barbara Fehlberg and on June 18, 1955, at St. Patrick Catholic Church they were united in marriage. They were together for 65 years when Barbara passed September 28, 2020.

Jens was a brick layer and co-owned and operated Triple J Mason Contractors retiring in 1989. In his own words he would say “I love my work” and “I would play Schaskopf 24 hours a day”. Jens was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, Northside Businessmen and Dania Hall. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, vacationing - especially cruises, collecting antique tools, and woodworking. He made a cradle for each of his grandchildren. Above all he treasured time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his children, Sue (Tom) Casebolt of Racine, Tim (Nancy) Andersen of Omro, Dan (Karen) Andersen of Racine, Ted (Janice Weber) Andersen of Racine, Tina (Dr. Tim) Griesbaum of Bloomington, IL; 9 grandchildren, Michael (Beth) Casebolt, Katie (Phil) Belongia, Kara (Derik) Avery, Rebecca (Troy) Peppler, Lauren (Rob Breitzke) Andersen, Keri (Adam) Heusdens, Julie (Nick) McCabe, Alyssa Griesbaum, Ashley Griesbaum; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Jens A. “Jimmy” Andersen; siblings, Inger (Raymond) Knapp, Karl Andersen, Paul (Bunnie) Andersen, Marian (Thomas) Pare; and in-laws, Jerry (Pat) Fehlberg, Tom (Joan) Fehlberg.

A memorial service with full military honors will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 11 am with Deacon Greg Petro officiating. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service from 9:30 am – 11:00 am. Private interment will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staffs of The Woods of Caledonia and St. Croix Hospice especially nurses, Tammy and Kathi for their loving and compassionate care.
