Joanne E. Lamb, age 71, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Wheaton Franciscan St. Joseph Hospital, Milwaukee. Joanne was born in Racine, July 3, 1945, daughter of the late Melvin and Hazel (Nee: Bolen) Lamb.

Joanne was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1963”. She was employed by In-Sink-Erator for twenty years, retiring in 2005. She was a longtime member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. More than anything Joanne adored caring for her grandchildren. She enjoyed coaching football, baseball, and cooking for her family.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Debra Lamb of Racine; her five grandchildren, Deserae (Michael) Thompkins, Don Hill, Michael Lamb, Destiny Bell, Victor Cano; sisters and brother, Lorretta (Lonnie) Lodholz of Antigo, William (Louis) Lamb of FL, Lorraine Bartell of Plansky; sister-in-law, Susan Lamb of Racine; special friends, Mary Anne Peet, Fran (Lee) Rasmussen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Joe Lamb; brothers, Ronald and Gerald; sister, Diane Sillars.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016, 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Private interment will be held.

A special thank you to the caregivers at St. Monica's and Wheaton Franciscan St. Joseph Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.
