John Henry Jones

John Henry Jones “Uncle Poochie” age 66, passed peacefully Friday, February 9, 2024, at his home. He was born December 22, 1957 in Cleveland Ohio, son of the late Margaret (Nee: Owens) and Henry Jones Sr and was the 5th of seven children.

John loved to fish, ride his bike, listen to music and spend time with his abundance of nephews, nieces and cousins. He was a loving father to his three children, Amber Key, Jennifer Busher, and Brandon Anderson-Jones. He was a loving brother who spent his entire life around his sisters, Gwendolyn Patterson and Gloriastine Jones.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his nephew, Johnnie Jones, his favorite cousin, Willie Kimbrough, and his brother-in-laws, Eli Lockridge and Clarence Kirksey.

John is survived by his siblings, Gwendolyn Patterson, Randall Jones, Ozella Bonner, Bernice Coleman and Henry Jones Sr. His favorite nieces and nephews of which he watched grow up, Margaret Jones, Michael Kirksey, William (Pete) Kirksey, Luther Patterson III, Lisa Patterson, Diontrey Grandberry, Darell Grandberry, Johnnisha Jones. His favorite cousin, Willie’s children along with an abundance of great nieces and nephews as well as a host of dear friends.

Private family services were held.

He will be greatly missed and loved forever.
