John Nelson

With his family by his side, John A. Nelson, age 56, passed away at his residence on Thursday October 29, 2015. John was born in Racine on April 26, 1959, son of the late John W. and Helen (nee: Pedigo) Nelson.

On July 31, 2008, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Hufford. John was employed as a truck driver through the years and was employed with Cape and Sons and Don’s Towing. He and his wife Liz also owned their own company L&J Trucking. In his spare time, John loved to ride his Harley, barbecue for the family and play with the kids.

John will be greatly missed by his wife, Liz; daughters, Jamie Brisco and Monica Nelson; 6 grandchildren; step-daughters, Nicole Hadlock and Shawna Lunn; sisters, Judy Nelson, Rose (Daniel) Cowan, Sandy Nelson (Don Durham); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at Yorkville Methodist Church, 17645 Old Yorkville Rd, Union Grove, on Saturday November 7, 2015, 3:30 p.m., with Rev. Sue Leih officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family have been suggested.
