John Theama

John C. Theama, age 49, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, February 20, 2012 at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. John was born in Racine, January 29, 1963, son of the late Lawrence W. and Mary Ann (Nee: Chvilicek) Theama.

John was a graduate of St. Bonaventure High School. On November 14, 1981 at St. Louis Catholic Church he was united in marriage to Robin A. Devore. He was formerly employed by Meyers Materials and volunteered for the Sturtevant Fire Department as an EMT and firefighter. An avid Packer fan, John also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and remodeling homes. He cherished time with his family and especially time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of thirty years, Robin; his sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew (Samantha) Theama of Vinton, IA, Joshua (Kayela) Theama of Racine; his five grandchildren, Amber, Abigale, Alexis, Brandon, and Blake; sister, Judith Theama (Rick Cunningham) of Racine; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald (Ruth) Devore of Monroe, WI; sister-in-law, Tammy Devore; brother-in-law, Donald Devore; nephews, Eric Devore, Kyle (Kristina) Devore, and Ryan Devore; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M.
