Jose Reyes-Ortega

Jose Reyes-Ortega, age 41, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 15, 2025. He was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on March 3, 1984, son of Antonio and Maria (Nee: Ortega) Reyes.

Jose took great pride in working in the family business, Reyes Construction. Jose was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was passionate about all genres of music, cooking and more than anything, spending time with his family.

He will be sadly missed by his parents, Antonio and Maria; his daughter, Guadalupe Reyes-Mendez; siblings, Gerrado Reyes Ortega, Alejandro Reyes Ortega, Antonio Reyes Ortega, Daniel (Crystal) Reyes and Silvia Reyes Ortega, brother In-law, Gerrado Baltazar Rios, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Maria Carmela Reyes-Martinez.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Jose’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 3, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1100 Erie St. with Rev. Craig Richter officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation on Friday at 10:00 am until time of Mass at the church.
