Joseph Allen Zember

Joseph Allen Zember Jr., “Coyote Joe” age 84, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center Mount Pleasant. He was born in Racine, WI, July 4, 1941, son of the late Joseph and Irma (Nee: Perone) Zember.

Joe graduated from Wm Horlick High School “Class of 1960”. On November 30, 1963 he was united in marriage to Nancy L. Burgmeier and they were blessed with 2 daughters, Gloria and Robin. Joe was employed by Western Publishing for 35 years and retired from Chrysler Mopar in 2005. Affectionately known as "Coyote Joe," he loved fishing, hunting and tinkering in the garage. Joe will be remembered as a very patient, hard-working man who could fix anything. He was your go-to guy for everything. Above all he treasured time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Nancy; daughters, Gloria Zember, Robin Demetriou; granddaughters, Tiffany Zember, Mandy Lyn Zember, Rheanna Demetriou; siblings, Viola Feiker, Irene Niles, Mary Jo (Wayne) Wojtczak; in-laws, Cynthia Zember, Thomas Burgmeier, Frank (Teri) Serpe, Peter (Julie) Serpe, Nicole Burgmeier; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Zember and brothers-in-law, William Serpe Jr, Timothy Burgmeier, and Stan Feiker.

Funeral Services will be held at the Maresh-Meredith and Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St., Sunday, April 19, 2026, 2:30 pm. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 1-2:30 pm.
