Joseph “Waukesha” Dowty, age 44, affectionately known as “Punky” “Joey” “Jobus”, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at home. He was born in Waukesha, WI, February 26, 1980, son of Deborah Ann Dowty.

Joseph graduated from Waukesha South High School “Class of 1998” and earned an Associate degree from Indian River State College. He was the President and CEO of PMD Local 666. Joe was an amazing artist who enjoyed art, music, and food. He will be remembered as an unforgettable presence who was very uplifting and motivational. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his parents, Deborah and Fred Grulke; grandmothers, Grandmama Carol Berg, Grandma Gloria Dowty; aunt and uncles, Richie and Margie Dowty, Roger Dowty, Ronnie (Jennifer) Dowty, Johnny “Jabba” (Amy) Pollock, Vickie Pollock (Andy Leistikow), Valerie (Bryan) Holman, Connie Pollock (Brian Sterling); cousins, Angela Stuessy, Tony, Nick, Nathan and Ashley Dowty, Jessica, Abby, Carolyn and Daniel Dowty, Heather, Jonathan, Damian, Casey and Ella Pollock, Analeigh, Jaxson and Maxwell Holman; his lifelong friend, Tony (Shelby “Shelbs”) Gonzalez; his human and fellow crazy cat lady in the woods, Amanda McCullough Borth; and his “possibly the best thing to ever happen in my life” buddy, Banebridge “Bane” Vega Jacobs Tester. He is also survived by many, many friends from Waukesha, Racine, Fright Fest, Ren Faire, Florida, and everywhere in between.

He was preceded in death by his Great Grandma Eloise Berg, his "Grumps" Richard Dowty, Grandpa John Pollock, NPF Chief Edwin Berg “Uncle Eddie”, Uncle Jim Hilden, Aunt Judith (Judy, his "the next to go crew") Dowty, cousin Jacob Lee Pollock, and Uncle Larry Grulke.

A Celebration of life will he held October 26th 1:00 PM at American Legion Post 434, 9327 S Shepard Ave, Oak Creek, WI 53154
