Josephine Mander "JoAnn"

Josephine “JoAnn” A. Mander, age 76, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at her home. JoAnn was born in Lyons, WI, April 26, 1940, daughter of the late Charles and Caroline (Nee: Held) Mander.

JoAnn was a graduate of St Catherine’s High School “Class of 1958”. Furthering her education she graduated from Dominican College “Class of 1962” with a degree in education and taught at Johnson Elementary School for thirty-nine years. Following retirement JoAnn enjoyed volunteering with the food bank. She was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. Her pastimes included reading and crossword puzzles.

She will be missed by her dear friend of over sixty years, Susan Mosher; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved Aunt Josephine Held, who helped raise her.

Private services will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Town of Lyons.
