Josephine Velasquez Zertuche

Josephine Velasquez Zertuche, age 91, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Ascension All Saints Hospital. She was born in San Antonio, TX, December 14, 1928, daughter of the late Benigno and Juanita (Nee: Cordova) Velasquez and lived most her life in Racine WI .

Josephine was married to Jimmy Dominguez who passed away in 1948 and then married to Olegario Zertuche who passed away in 1985. Josephine raised 11 children and was a dedicated mother who enjoyed caring and cooking for her family. She also was a field worker for many years. Josephine enjoyed crocheting, going to dances, exercising and praying. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grand mother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her children, Roland (Mercy) Dominguez, David (Laura) Dominguez, Rosalina (Valentin) Gomez, Florentino (Helen) Zertuche , Ruben (Ana) Zertuche, Victor (Sandra) Zertuche, Alonzo (Pattie) Zertuche; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Victoria Dominguez; sister-in-law, Connie Velasquez; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by her children, Raymond Dominguez, Rosario Davila, Gustavo Zertuche, Peter Velasquez; her sister Elivera (Joseph) Munoz; and brother Frank Velasquez.
