Joyce E. Kupper

Joyce E. Kupper, age 89, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday September 4, 2025 at Aurora Medical Center-Mt Pleasant with her family at her side. Joyce was born in Racine on August 8, 1936, daughter of the late Edwin and Irene (nee: Cizmadia) Anders.

Joyce was a proud graduate of Park High School. She went on to attain her teaching degree and educated countless young students at Troutwine and Somers Elementary Schools for many years. She then worked at St. Mary's Hospital in the surgery department where she scheduled surgeries. An excellent seamstress, Joyce sewed uniforms together when her son marched in the Racine Kilties and made many creations through the years. She was last working at Hancock Fabrics where she could put her sewing, knitting, and crafting knowledge to good use. Joyce was a dedicated member of Amaranth and Eastern Star Masonic groups. In her spare time, Joyce also enjoyed working in her garden, travelling and spending quality time with her family.

Joyce will be dearly missed by her son, Jerry (Lori) Kupper; three grandchildren, Amanda, Justin and Jared Kupper, and friends. In addition to her parents, Joyce was also preceded in death by her grandson Zachary Kupper and her brother Jerome.

Graveside services will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park 9000 Washington Ave Tuesday Sep 16, 2025, 2:00 pm. Please meet at the entrance to process in together.
