Judith “Judie” Ann Modrow, affectionately known as “Momma Knows” age 82, passed away peacefully, at her residence, Tuesday, January 23, 2024. She was born in Racine, January 16, 1942, daughter of the late Lloyd and Bernice Eichler.

On March 17, 1962, Judie was united in marriage to Richard B. Modrow, who preceded her in death on November 23, 2004. Judie worked as a preschool teacher for 20 years at Jack and Jill Day Care. She was a longtime member of First Church of God where she was a greeter and Sunday school teacher. Judie had an inspiring, tremendous faith in God. She was also an avid reader and loved Danielle Steel novels. She adored cats throughout her life, especially her cat “Jackie O.” Judie loved sitting by the lakefront and walking in the park. Tending to her garden and planting flowers brought her so much joy. She spent years living in the country in Burlington in a 2-story home surrounded by oak trees. Judie will be remembered for her bright-spirited cheerful personality, her laughter, her love of nature, and her enduring faith and strength.

Surviving are her children, James Modrow and Cheri Modrow; grandchildren, Matthew, Kylie, Brandon, and James Anthony; great grandson, Aleks; In-laws, Robert (Jean) Modrow, Kim Modrow, Sandi Modrow, Elizabeth Corona, Patti Lynn Proeber; nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear friends.

Funeral Services celebrating Judie’s life will be held at Maresh-Meredith and Acklam Funeral Home on Saturday February 10th, 2024. Visitation from 9:30 am -10:30 am, with a service at 10:30 am. Processional and Interment to follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Cudahy Place and Heartland Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
