Judith "Judy" Faye Cornell, age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2024. She was born in Mequon, September 13, 1936, daughter of the late August and Jean Seelman.

Judy attended Cedarburg High School and worked at Deaconess Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. On February 8, 1958, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg, she was united in marriage to Lee S. Cornell. Together for nearly 62 years, they raised 8 children, 4 of which they adopted. They lived in the Racine area for about 50 years, attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and were thirty-year members of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and knitting. She had an abundance of love to share, which led them to become foster parents for about 60 children over the course of 30 years. Those that knew her described her as kind, giving, sweet and “everyone’s mom in Sturtevant”. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are 7 children, Fred (Kathy) Cornell, Elizabeth Del Negro, Ann (Steve) Valentine, Benjamin (Angie) Cornell, Melissa Cornell, Roseannah Cornell, Sandra Cornell; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Susan Miller; nephew, Robert (Alexandria) Miller, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lee S. Cornell; son, Thomas Cornell; brother-in-law, Walter Miller; son-in-law, David Del Negro.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Saturday November 9, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
