Judith Marie Erickson, age 71, passed away unexpectedly Friday May 15, 2026, at her home after a long 15 plus year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Racine, WI January 6, 1955, the youngest of 5 children of the late Louis and Marilyn (Nee: Frank) Rannow.

Judy graduated from Washington Park High School, "Class of 1973." On October 2, 1976, at St. Edward's Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Paul J. Erickson. They were blessed with two children, Daniel and Jessica. Judy worked for over 15 years at Nelson's Dime Store in West Racine and then as a secretary at Racine Unified School District for 18 years where she retired from. In her youth she was a member of the Color Guard marching for the Racine Chrome Domes. Judy's latest past times included being an avid quilter, a proud grandmother, and a crazed fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.

Judy was a devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, and most importantly Nani who will be dearly missed. Surviving her are children Daniel (Abigail) Erickson, and Jessica (James) Luckett; grandchildren Lily and Xavier Erickson, Anna and Sara Luckett; sisters and brother Susan Haas, Patricia Rigby, Louis (Karen) Rannow, Peggy (Thomas) Nielsen; sisters-in-law Joan (James) Mattice, Linda (Ronald) Blaski; as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law Ronald Haas and Terry Rigby; father-in-law and mother-in-law Daniel and Elizabeth Erickson; sister-in-law Elizabeth (Keith) Heckel.

The family will be hosting a private celebration of life at a later time. Memorials to the Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance at wisconsinovariancancer.org have been suggested.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Mullane, Dr. Hassan, and Nurse Kelly K. as well as all the staff at the Aurora Cancer Center for their years of loving support and care.
