Karen L. Larkin

Karen L. Larkin, age 47, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, February 8, 2014 at her residence. Karen was born in Racine, September 26, 1966, daughter of Gordon and Judith I. (Nee: Hort) Larkin.

Karen was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1984”. She was employed for many years at In-Sink-Erator and was also a self-employed hairstylist. Karen was a member of the First Church of God. Karen was a fanatic collector of koalas and had a great love for her canine companion, Sydney. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving mother, Judith of Racine; her sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen (John) Graham of Greenfield; loving niece and nephew, Emily and Eric; her aunt, Janice Lechner; cousins, Kristina (Rob) DeJong, Ron (Cheri) Klingbeil; very special friend, Roberta; other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014, 11:00 A.M. at the First Church of God, 1650 Lathrop Avenue, with Rev. Ryan C. Reed officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park, Monday, February 17, 2014, 11:00 A.M. Memorials to the First Church of God have been suggested.
