Karen Marie Marino, age 64, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, May 20, 2024, at her residence. She was born In Milwaukee, WI, March 30, 1960, daughter of Donald and Pietta (Nee: Presta) Marino.

Karen graduated from St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1978”, received her BA in Psychology in 1982 and Master’s in Counseling and Guidance in 1984 both from UW Whitewater. She was employed as a clinical social worker by Jefferson County for 33 years, retiring in 2017. Karen was an advocate for Women’s Rights. She enjoyed her dogs, crafts, reading and water walking at the YMCA. Karen will be remembered for her passion and generosity always willing to lend a helping hand, and her love of family especially her love of her nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her father, Donald Marino; brother, Sam (Shelley) Mari Marino; nieces and nephews, Martin Marino, Samantha (Josh) Netzinger and Christina Marino; great nieces and nephews; Bailey, Bentley, Bennett, and Melanie; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Pietta in 2020, and her beloved dogs, Gypsy Bell, Rufus, and Brandy.

A memorial service will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, June 8, 2024, 3 pm. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 2-3 pm
