Kristine Marie Bournoville (Knapp), age 75, was called home to eternal rest on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Born in Racine, WI, on September 24, 1949, she left this world surrounded by her family. Daughter of the late Raymond F and Inger M Knapp (Andersen).

In her role at Fred Knapp Engraving, Kris’s playful nature brought joy to all, and it was there that she met James Lawrence Bournoville, the love of her life. Her passion for helping others flourished as she later became a Mary Kay consultant, empowering clients with beauty and confidence, all while creating lasting relationships.

Born with a natural love for creativity, Kris developed a deep passion for art and music from a young age. Whether it was drawing, painting, or playing one of the many instruments she mastered over the years, she found joy in expressing herself through creative outlets. Her musical talents were particularly remarkable, as she could play an impressive array of instruments, captivating those around her with both her skill and her enthusiasm. Beyond her artistic abilities, Kris had a love for her family that defined much of her life. Growing up, she formed a close bond with her loved ones, often seen spending time with them, enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Kris had an unwavering affection for her beloved pets. Her dogs and horses weren’t just animals– they were cherished companions who held a special place in her heart.

With a spunky personality, Kris had the unique ability to bring laughter and warmth to every room she entered. Whether it was her quick wit, or infectious sense of humor, Kris had an undeniable charm that left a lasting impression. She could turn even the most ordinary moments into something special, reminding those around her of the power of joy and laughter.

Kris is survived by her devoted husband of over 50 years, James Lawrence Bournoville. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Victoria (Dave) Butler, and sister-in-law, Frances A. Knapp. Her legacy lives on through her niece, Anna Butler and nephews, Geoff (Stephanie) Knapp, Brian Knapp, Caleb (Ruth) Butler, Joseph Butler, Bryan (Elizabeth) Bournoville, and Adam (Cheryl) Bournoville. Additionally, she is survived by many great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and friends who were touched by her kindness, generosity and spirit.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Walter J Knapp, in-laws Lawrence and Helen Bournoville and brother in-law Gerald Bournoville.

A private memorial service was held for immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation (https://www.parkinson.org) in memory of Kris.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Ridgewood Care Center and extend deepest appreciation to Compassus Hospice Care for their unwavering compassion, exceptional kindness, and heartfelt dedication in providing comfort and support to Kris during her time of need.
