Larie Frances Benner, age 84, Passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Burlington, WI, January 30, 1942, daughter of the late Lawrence and Lucille (Nee: Smith) Warner.
Larie was a bartender for 40 plus years, most of her time at Elmwood Bar and Restaurant, Tommy’s Bar and various other taverns. She will be remembered for her years of dedication and kindness shown to her customers. Larie was an avid fan of the Packers, Nascar racing and word search puzzles. She especially liked socializing, shopping, thrifting and spending countless hours at the Hobby Lobby.
She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by her children, Jeffrey Benner, Elizabeth (Maurice) Hood, Craig (Faith) Benner; grandchildren, Michael Benner (Crystobel), Alyssa Benner (Erik), Ashley Benner, Mareeka Olson (Evan), Annica Abbott (Jared), Gabrielle Hood, Danielle Hood (Nick), Kelsey Hood, and nine great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rosemary Warner; other relatives and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence Warner, mother, Lucille Cramer, stepfather, Harry Cramer, brother, Lawrence Warner and daughter-in-law, Julie Benner and former husband, Charles Benner.
Private funeral services were held with interment at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Spring Prairie. Memorials to Benner Beats Hunger or the Racine County Food Bank have been suggested.
