Lillian M. Vogelman

Lillian M. Vogelman, age 95, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at her residence in St. Germain. Lillian was born in Racine, July 24, 1919, daughter of the late William and Ella (Nee: Gloede) Mahoney.

On April 6, 1939 at St. Rita Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Gordon Vogelman who preceded her in death, October 2, 1985. Lillian was employed by Siena Center for seventeen years as the head cook and baker. She was a longtime and faithful member of St. Rita Catholic Church where she belonged to the 3rd Order of St. Augustine and Christian Mothers. Lillian devoted and cherished time with her family.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Janice (Ken) Ehleiter, Patricia (Dick) Swartz, Donna (John) Erickson, Mary Opelt, Michael (Sandy) Vogelman, Terry Vogelman, David (Kim) Vogelman; 21 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Willis Mahoney; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sisters, Viola Vogelman, Audrey (Charles) Theama; and brothers, Marlo and Marvin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 15, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue, with Rev. Rich Young officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the church from 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family have been suggested.
