Lois R. Prott, age 87, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012, at Maryhill Manor, Niagara, WI. Lois was born in Racine, February 18, 1925, daughter of the late Harold and Freida (Nee: Kortemeier) Schoeppe.

Lois was a graduate of William Horlick High School. On January 20, 1945 she was united in marriage to Clarence L. Prott who preceded her in death, September 13, 1993. She was an active member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years. Above all she cherished and loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her children, Alan (Darlene) Prott of Presque Isle, WI, Danny (Kathy) Prott of Raymond, WI, Susan Piasini (Fiancée Kenny Roell) of Channing, MI, Sharon Todorovic (Mike) of NC, Sandy Langenfeld (Andy) of Racine; daughter-in-law, Sharron Marcado of Racine; 30 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Sparapani of Crystal Falls, MI; sister-in-law, Ruth Schoeppe of Racine; nieces, nephews; close family friend, Nancy Reese; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Larry; grandson, Joey Prott; brothers, Roy (Millie), David Schoeppe; and brother-in-law, Jerry Sparapani.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012, 11:00 A.M. at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 212 11th Street, with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to the Evangelical United Methodist Church Building Fund have been suggested.
