Lonnis Aaron Allen Sr., affectionately known as “The Professor” to his family, transitioned on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Bonterra Transitional and Rehabilitation after a short illness. He was born on May 31, 1949, in Racine, Wisconsin unto the late Pastor Nesbie J. Allen and Vicie (nee: Barker) Allen. He was raised in a holiness home taught to reverence and acknowledge

God in all situations, Lonnis was a member of The Twelfth Street Church of God in Christ (C.O.G.I.C.), later named Grace Temple C.O.G.I.C. He was a 1968 graduate of Washington Park High School in Racine, Wisconsin and attended two years at University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. He was formerly married to Schauneille Smyth and to this union one son was born, Lonnis Aaron Allen II. He relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and joined Morris Temple C.O.G.I.C. He was employed by Clement Sablocki Veterans Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Ladish Company in Cudahy, Wisconsin as an accountant. He was later employed as a taxi driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Marshall, Algers and Reishton Allen, nephew, Jimi Allen, niece Jahamarah Allen, and two brothers-in-law Craig Oliver Sr. and Luzell Johnson.
