Lorraine Emilie Zacher, age 81, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine. She was born May 22, 1939, daughter of the late Albert W. and Anna E. (Nee: Brunner) Koloski.

On October 3, 1959, she was united in marriage to Robert D. Zacher who preceded her in death February 14, 2002.

Lorraine especially loved spending time with her family. Any one who knew her looked forward to spending time with her. She was full of spunk and sass and she had a huge personality. Some people may have thought she was quiet, but once you got to know her she was very fun natured, and the life of the party. She loved dancing and was always clowning around with her kids. She was always full of laughter and mischief. Lorraine enjoyed decorating her home for the Christmas holiday. From the day after Thanksgiving to almost Valentine’s Day you could find a winter wonderland in her living room. She loved creating floral arrangements for all events and seasons. In her younger years she enjoyed sewing, gardening and being out in nature. She loved animals of all types. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her children, Lynn (Robert) Berndt of Waukesha, Lisa Langsdorf of Kenosha, Rebecca (Kyle) Cunningham of Racine, Robert Zacher Jr. of Waukesha; grandchildren Tyler (Jen), Morgan (Greg), Caitlin (Evan), Mitchell, Zachary, R.J., Jordy; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her infant sons Steven M. and John E.

A private ceremony was held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee where she is interred.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Staff from the Woods of Caledonia for taking such good care of her during the last year when family visits were not possible and to the staff at Ascension All Saints Hospital for the care you showed her during her final days.

Lorraine loved trips to Holy Hill since she was a child. She went for healing masses, to light candles and pray in the chapel, to walk the grounds and share picnics with her family. She always had a bottle of holy water, her favorite prayers to saints and her prayer books with her. If you are inclined, you can light a candle for her or donate for masses in her name.
