Surrounded by her loving family, Mae Anne Horvath, age 72, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015, at her residence following a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. She was born in Racine, June 17, 1942, daughter of the late Fred and Faythe (Nee:Stemmer) Andersen.

Mae Anne graduated from Washington Park High School “Class of 1960”. On April 19, 1979, she was united in marriage to William V. Horvath. Mae was employed as an administrative Secretary by Racine Unified School District for many years retiring in 2000. In her earlier years she had worked as secretary at both St. Luke’s and St. Mary’s Hospitals. She was very artistic and talented and enjoyed crafts, painting, and sewing. She formerly owned and operated The Pepper Tree in West Racine. Mae Anne was also very involved in P.E.O. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Bill; children, Karen, Mike (Debbie), Jon (Carol), Jeff (Lisa), Chris (Marie), Jenny (Ricky); 10 grandchildren; sisters, Judy (David), Linda (Peder); brother, Bill (Joyce); brother-in-law, Jeff; nieces, nephews, other relatives, special friends, Joyce Brown, Ken and Mary Catherine Cashion; her P.E.O. sisters; and other dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday, March 12, 2015, 11:30 A.M. with Dr. Ken Cashion officiating. Private entombment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet at the funeral home Thursday, 9:30 A.M. until time of service at 11:30 A.M. Memorials to Wheaton Franciscan Homecare and Hospice have been suggested.
