On Sunday August 29, 2021, Magdeline “Maggie” Miskulin (nee: Udjur) joined her beloved husband Edward in loving reunion with the Lord. Magdeline was born in Duluth, Minnesota, November 30, 1926, to her proud parents, George and Frances (nee: Fister) Udjur. On February 3, 1945, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Edward Miskulin.

They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary plus three with their six loving and caring children, Michael, Edward, Patrick, Cathleen, John and Jacqueline, their spouses, grandchildren, family and friends. Edward passed away on March 30, 1998.

Maggie was devoted to her husband and children, a loving sister and aunt to her extended family, proud grandmother of 10, 11 great grandchildren, and a true friend. She had a deep faith and love of her Lord, was an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister, conducted the Communion Service as one of the “12 Apostles” and a member of the “Together in Grief” group. Maggie loved roses, nature, gardening and photography.

Magdeline attended the University of Wisconsin Parkside graduating with her son John in 1985. She loved and wrote poignant uplifting poetry and special writings for family occasions. Her mantra, Never Stop Learning! Her poem, “Fall Review” was published in the National Library of Poetry Edition, “Dance on the Horizon” in 1994. Magdeline was a successful real estate broker for many years and never let her license lapse.

Surviving are her six loving children and their families, Michael (Glenna), Edward Jr. (Vickie), Patrick, Cathleen (Steve) Mestan, John (Colleen), Jacqueline (David) Baggesen; ten grandchildren, Steve, Kate, Michele, Lisa, Chad, Jenny, Stephanie, Jessica, Alec, and Ethan; eleven great grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Jared, Brynley, Sophia, Crawford, Ava, Sienna, Savannah, Haylee and Lacey; her sister, Lorraine Miller; nieces, Pat (Conrad) Erickson, Diane Wickstrom, Marianne Neis; nephews, Gerald (Sherri) Udjur, Jack (Judy) Cossette, Gerald, Ronald and George Miskulin; and her loving sheltie, Riley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St, on Saturday September 4, 2021, 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Private interment will be held at Oneota Cemetery in Duluth, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to one’s favorite charity in her name.
